Our location is perfect as it's on the main street with beautiful views onto the Abbey ruins and within walking distance of shops, pubs and restaurants. We also serve a mean breakfast and cater for vegetarians/vegans.
The Temple Room is the place to come together, cast a circle, burn incense and delight in all things magical.

First time to The Covenstead did not disappoint! Perfectly situated, and a beautiful building filled with fascinating pieces. My friend and I had the luxury of staying in one of the honeymoon suites. The bed was so comfortable: one you can just sink in! A lovely, big en-suite bathroom too. Breakfast was huge and delicious!!
Wow...what a stunning place! The moment we stepped through the imposing front door and into the Aladdin's cave of a hallway we were captivated by the Covenstead. Inside we were met with the warmest of welcomes with offers of tea and help with bags: nothing was too much trouble.
My Fiancé and I were completely blown away by the quality and authenticity of this establishment. Adele was so hospitable and kept our room and the house proper and spotless. The breakfast were wonderful and kept us full till mid afternoon! We cannot wait to come back!
An absolutely amazing and unique place. Filled with all sorts of curios , books and magical objects. The rooms are fabulously themed and comfy. I'm running out of superlatives and have not even started on the gorgeous food supplied by the equally gorgeous Adele. This is somewhere that everyone needs to visit at least once in their lifetime.
My boyfriend and I stayed in this wonderful and unique witchcraft themed B&B which most enchanting and delightful . As we arrived we were greeted by the hostess Adele who gave us a warm welcome and showed us around each room. The rooms had their own unique individual themes with beautiful antique furniture and a great selection of books on...
The safety and wellbeing of our staff and guests is our number one priority and therefore, given the government advice, we have decided to close The Covenstead with immediate effect.
At present we plan to close for 8 weeks, reopening on 29th May. Obviously we will review this decision over the coming weeks.
We look forward to you staying with us in the future and in the meantime stay safe.
